From AC to DC: A Deep Dive Session into Harry Stokman’s DC Muzen Project
The Forschungscampus FEN (Flexible Electrical Networks) at the RWTH Aachen University interviewed and filmed Harry Stokman in his home where he gives a tour of his DC Muzen Project.

Harry Stokman: Why I converted my private home to DC: To demonstrate that it is possible, to inspire the Ecosystem, to learn through real-world experience, to build towards a physical energy community, to showcase a live demonstration of the Future.
If we believe that DC can play a meaningful role in the future energy system, we must also be willing to prove its value in our own environments.
The DC MUZEN project demonstrates how a home can evolve from a passive electricity consumer into an intelligent energy cell within a future SecondGrid ecosystem.
By integrating local renewable generation, battery storage, DC distribution, flexible loads, and a controlled interface to the public grid, the system balances energy locally while maintaining comfort, resilience, and grid compatibility.
This pioneering project renovating the Stokman's home to a full DC Prosumer Home is based on Harry Stokman's concept of a Second Grid based on Current/OS.
A DC grid on a 350V DC system is installed instead of the traditional AC. All users, such as electronic devices, heating, solar panels, batteries, and EV will be plugged in directly to the 350V/700V/1400V DC system .

The name DC MUZEN (Dutch) or DC MUSES (English) is particularly appropriate because it combines the technical world of Direct Current (DC) with the broader concepts of inspiration, knowledge, art, science, creativity, and innovation represented by the Greek Muses.
